Hi my name is Angel Garcia and I am the owner of a 1988 ford econoline 150 cargo van. I brought the cargo van used in 2003 to carry my canvas, art supply and ladders when i am painting a mural around town and some time when I'm out of town. now I want to use this blogger to documentation my process as I work on the van to remove the bad rust and replace it with new repair panel and do body work and so on, this will be a on going process as I gut grind and weld new panel.

1988 Econoline 150 rust repair.
I brought my Econoline 150 van in 2003 it was my first time ever having something so big and so much room. At that time its was what i needed to haul my stuff around town. I'm a Visual Artist muralist so the van was great for me, but when I brought the van it was in bad shape had a lot of surface rust almost all over it. I did a quick patch job with body-filler and primed then painted it with a mural on the side of the van and it looked real cool. around 2009 I stop driving the van and had it park for about 2-1/2 year and it started to rust away on me so me and my brothers and friends help me clean it up a bit to check out the damage and was Bad so I started ordering sheet metal panels for the van one panel at a time cause i knew it will be expensive if had to buy it all at once. in the picture me and my younger brother are working on control the rust and changing all the brake lines from the master cylinder back.
